URL Checker

Creating a large website with a lot of pages and links is not an easy task, even for advanced web designers. That's because it's very difficult to check every single link in the website, to see it it works correctly. Doing so will take a lot of time and seems like impossible. But there is a solution to this and that's the URL Checker software. As its name clearly states, the software allows anyone to quickly and easily check the status of all the links contained in a website or the links contained by a text file. Thus, spotting a broken link becomes a piece of cake.

The software installs very quickly, requiring only a few clicks for this. It supports most versions of the Windows operating system, including XP and Windows 7. It takes up about 4 MB of hard disk space and it's gentle with the system resources, thus allowing the user to install it on older computer systems.

The interface of URL Checker features some big graphical buttons for accessing the software's functions. URLs can be added to the program using various ways, either by manually entering addresses, by loading a text file or by scanning all the links contained in a certain website. After completing this step, all the user has to do is click on the validate button and the program will start checking every link, displaying them in a list, together with information regarding whether they are OK or not. For making broken links easier to spot, the text is displayed using different colors, according to the link's condition.

At the end of the scanning process, a complete report can be saved, containing the status of all the links. Besides that, the links added into the program together with their settings can be saved as a file, to be reused in case URL Checker is reinstalled.
